Since 1993 Penn Psychiatric Center has operated a Clozapine Clinic offering a regimented course of treatment. It is one stop for psychiatric visits, blood work, vital signs and receiving the Clozapine. Penn Psychiatric Center offers clinics for consumers on Clozaril at two locations in two counties. Clinics are operated weekly at Penn Psychiatric Center's offices in Collegeville and Phoenixville. The Phoenixville clinic meets on Tuesday mornings and the Collegeville clinic meets on Thursday mornings.
Dialectical Behavior Therapy, or DBT, is an evidence-based treatment that helps individuals achieve and maintain meaningful relationships and establish transformative life skills through participation in both a skills group and individual therapy. DBT is a new way for you to face your daily challenges. Our DBT Skills Group is designed to provide a structured setting in which the individual will work towards the mastery of four essential life skills: Mindfulness, Interpersonal Effectiveness, Emotion Regulation, and Distress Tolerance.

Penn Psychiatric Center takes consumer rights very seriously. That is why we provide full disclosure to you the patient about the rights given to you while at our practice. Knowing your rights as a patient is very important and helps to maintain the best level of service that we can provide.
No manager, supervisor, or employee shall consciously or by overt act deprive any person of any right to which such person is entitled under and State, Federal, or local law. Any consumer may submit a complaint to the Compliance and Quality Assurance Department. Compliance personnel shall try, in a timely manner, to remedy any actual or perceived problem.

PPC boasts a wide array of programs and is considered a standard bearer for many programs within the community. The opportunities are always tailored to the individual need with full time employee or part-time contractor positions available. We also have an internship program for graduate students in psychology and/or social work. These internships are tailored to individual school requirements for requisite direct-client-contact and supervision hours. Master’s level interns are not paid and do not receive stipends. Peer Support is a unique and interactive program that provides recovery supports to individuals who identify having challenges with a severe mental health challenge. Supports are provided by individuals who have self-identified as being in recovery from their own mental health challenges and have completed the intensive Certified Peer Specialist Training. Our Peer Support Specialists will help individuals develop the skills necessary to lead a meaningful life at home and in the community and guide you down the path of recovery.
PPC will be using a new telehealth Service Verification process. If you have a telehealth appointment scheduled you will receive a text message on the day of your appt. The text will prompt you to verify your identity and request your signature. Your signature shows you approve the following statement:
I certify that I am the individual/ legal agent of the individual receiving services. I certify I have consented to receive the above service from Penn Psychiatric Center and the recorded practitioner. My signature on the date of service, validates that I have participated, consented, and agree with the information, plan, and/or treatment outlined in this note. I certify that the information I provided Penn Psychiatric Center (MAID 1007533910006) for invoice is true, correct, and accurate. I understand that payment and satisfaction of claims will be from federal and state funds, and that any false claims, statements or documents, or concealment of material facts, may be prosecuted under applicable federal and state laws.
This statement with your signature is required for PPC to bill your insurance. You will receive this text message for every appointment scheduled via telehealth including multiple appointments in one day. If you cannot or do not sign you cannot have your scheduled appointment via telehealth. In person appointments are not affected by this policy. Please contact us for technical help or questions. We will work to address all concerns but we are limited in what we can allow due to the state guidelines.
